Year End Report
Hello Members of SV Cyber Lions, It has been a very good year for SV Cyber Lions. We have so many programs & projects which we are currently working on and would continue with your help and support. The BODs and Members of our Club around the World want to thank you for supporting of our Club’s successful Services & Programs.
Congratulations is in order for your Club. SVCLC was the first Club in Northern America to achieve the “Visionary Model Club” Level. The BODs must thank all members who supports this club and have made donations to achieve this level – basically at this level it means our global club members as a whole have made enough donations to LCIF, and that represent a $750 per member donation since 2017. Please let us know if you want to become a Melvin Jones Fellow to support one of the greatest Humanitarian Service Organizations.
The following are our current signature programs/projects:
1. COVID-19 PPE/Mask Donations
about 50,000 masks have been donated to the Front Line Heroes and Senior Communities. Our Club obtained a matching grant of $5000 from the California Lions Foundation for this program. About another 50,000 masks is being planned. Together with Legacy Through Giving Foundation, our Club’s charity arm, SVCLC initiated a 1 st COVID-19 Fund Drive to purchase masks and gloves for Lions of China. Now, Lions of Beijing are donating about 20-30,000 masks to support our Pandemic needs. To promote good fellowship between Lions and our two countries, SVCLC BODs has decided to give 100 masks to ALL Club Members and Clubs in the District for their service programs. Masks to be picked at 1321 N. Carolan Ave., Burlingame CA. We can mail to you when you pay shipping/postage.
2. Peace Posters Exhibits
SVCLC is the lead Club working with LCI to promote Peace Poster Exhibits.
